Overview
Students explore how adaptations help organisms survive in their environment, and how likenesses are passed from parent to offspring, from generation to generation through inheritance, while other likenesses are learned behaviors. Students also look at insect and plant life cycles.

(4.10B) Inherited Traits and Learned Behaviors
Demonstrate that some likenesses between parents and offspring are inherited, passed from generation to generation such as eye color in humans or shapes of leaves in plants. Other likenesses are learned such as table manners or reading a books and seals balancing balls on their noses.
