Young students' natural curiosity provides a perfect springboard into simple science investigations. In Kindergarten, students observe and describe the natural world using their five senses. They also develop science vocabulary by investigating the properties of common objects, earth materials and organisms.
Through investigating the life cycle of plants Kindergarten students learn about the basic needs of organisms. Students also and learn to recognize the interdependence of organisms in the natural world and understand how organisms interact with living and nonliving things to meet their needs.
